During March 13-18 we visited the temple complexes around Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Angkor Wat is one of the largest religieus buildings in the world, dating back to the 12th century.
Together with Norah we planned our daily itineraries.
With Norah in her backpack we walked for hours around the temples. Angkor Wat is most spectacular at sunset.
Most temples are located close to each other and can be reached by local transport - the tuktuk.
The Bayon is another spectacular temple, with 216 faces from stone.
But not all beautiful faces are ancient or from stone...
The temple Ta Prom is subdued in thick jungle, which creates a mysterious atmosphere.

Norah enjoyed the cultural sites, which she cruised from the back of her parents. Particularly Azian tourists greeted Norah with excitement - a baby in a backpack is an unusual sight in Asia.

Most people in the floating village live from fishery.
Saigon is a city with around 8 million people. Many people in the streets sell fruits and other items.
Saigon is also called the 'motorcycle city' with a total of around 3 million motorbikes!
Coconut juice is very refreshing, as the inside of the coconut remains cool.
It has been a pleasure travelling with Norah. She coped very well with the sometimes hectic travel schedule and irregular bedtimes.
We visited the war museum, where many of the (terrible) images and weapons of the Vietnam war are on display.
The Chu Chi tunnels are the great pride of Vietnam. These tunnels have become symbols of how a peasant army can resist an army with modern weaponry.

The AK-47 (short for Russian: Автомат Калашникова образца 1947 года - Avtomat Kalashnikova model 1947); is a gas operated assault rifle which was used in most Eastern bloc countries during the Cold War. It was also used during the Vietnam war.
The Mekong delta region encompasses a large portion of southeastern Vietnam of 39,000 km². The size of the area covered by water depends on the season.
